Winter Program

The focus of the Douglas Fourth of July Committee events have always been on children and community coming together to celebrate even when the winters are long.

November 29, 2019 ~ Annual Tree-Lighting

An official community tree-lighting ceremony is held each year in recognition of the two holidays allowed to Treadwell and Douglas miners, Christmas and Independence Day.

Our program will begin by a traditional tree-lighting ceremony with caroling. We ask everyone to bring a flashlight and please leave the dogs at home.
