Summer Program

The focus of the Douglas Fourth of July Committee events have always been on children and community coming together to celebrate 4th of July in Douglas, Alaska.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate the ever-changing landscape of holding events during a global pandemic the past couple of years. 

June 14 ~ Flag Day Decorate to Celebrate

Douglas property owners are encouraged to decorate their property in Red, White & Blue colors, bunting, banners, flags, flowers, party lights & etc.by 5:00 PM for judging. We ask them to leave the decorations through Independence Day, July 4th.

- Best Business

- Patriotic Spirit

- Best Community Spirit

- Kid's Bicycle Decorating - Library Parking Garage - 1-3pm 

- Soap Box Derby Car Show -St. Ann's Avenue - 5pm 

- Soap Box Derby Time Trials and Practice - St. Ann's Race Hill 6-7:30pm
