The focus of the Douglas Fourth of July Committee events have always been on children and community coming together to celebrate 4th of July in Douglas, Alaska.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate the ever-changing landscape of holding events during a global pandemic this year. 

June 14 ~ Flag Day Decorate to Celebrate

Douglas property owners are encouraged to decorate their property in Red, White & Blue colors, bunting, banners, flags, flowers, party lights & 5:00 PM for judging. We ask them to leave the decorations through Independence Day, July 4th. *DOWNLOAD FLYER HERE*

We have a series of fun events to help families start their celebration of Independence Day in Douglas off right and have a little friendly competition.

July 4 ~ Douglas 4th of July Events

Kicking off with the events the week leading up to July 4, we have a full and busy schedule of activities for the whole family. Please watch here for a downloadable schedule each year. Since 2021 July 4th falls on a Sunday, all events will start an hour later than previous years.

- Food Court - Food Vendors will be pop-ups throughout the park. 

- Douglas Community Church Annual Deep Pit BBQ - 11:30am-5pm

- Children's Field Events - Savikko Park 

- Pioneer Pavilion Concerts - Savikko Park Plaza - Bands being confirmed.

- Soap Box Derby Races - St. Ann's Race Hill
