Fundraising
We raise funds from public agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals to provide support for community events. Our current fundraising efforts are aimed at completing the Pavilion and Band Stand Project at Savikko Park in Douglas, an improvement listed in the CBJ Savikko Park/Sandy Beach/Treadwell Historic Trail Master Plan.
Pavillion Raffle 2010
The Douglas 4th of July Committee is holding a Raffle! The funds raised will go towards finish paying out standing construction costs for the Pioneer Pavilion at Savikko Park, Douglas. The Drawing will be held Saturday, July 3, 7:00 PM at the Douglas Inn.

The Pioneer Pavilion serves as an additional covered picnic shelter when not used for performances and other park events. The squared-log structure has been under construction since April 2009. It was designed by Jenson, Yorba and Lott, Inc. The logs came from Icy Straits Logging. City and Borough of Juneau Parks and Recreation designated a foot pad location in the 2nd ball field for the pavilion.
Spring Update: CBJ Parks and Recreation graded the ground around the pavilion. Little Diggers donated the hydro-seeding. Volunteers are constructing a handicap ramp. For more information contact: Pat Peterson at 364-3707.
