Douglas Alaska 4th of July Committee Flag Day Contest

The Douglas 4th of July Committee thanks all Douglas residents, organizations & businesses for flying our country's flag today, FLAG DAY, Thursday, June 14, 2007. A special thank you to residents who went further in decorating their buildings with flags and patriotic colored decorations. Please leave them up through July 4th, Independence Day to help make a super holiday in Douglas.

The Douglas Volunteer Fire Fighters judged the properties. Walk or drive around to view owners’ decorations at the following addresses & others. Let them know we appreciate their efforts.

All Douglas Property owners and renters, please decorate by Wednesday, June 14. Use our country's flag with Red, White and Blue flowers, ribbons, bunting and lights. Please leave your decorations up though July 4 to make our town festive for Independence Day. The Douglas Fire Fighters will do the judging at 5:00 PM Wednesday evening. Winners will receive a certificate. Names will be posted around town and sent in to our web site and the media.
