Douglas 4th of July Parade
Participant assembly at 2:30 pm - Gastineau School. Parade starts at 3:00 pm along 3rd Street from Gastineau School to Summers Street. No pre-registration or entry fee required. more info

4:00 pm - Savikko Park Field #2
Field events for all ages including 10 to 60 yard dashes, 3-legged races, and sack races. All participants in the field sports will receive $1.00. more info
Deep Pit Beef Barbeque Dinner
July 4th, 12:00 - 5:00 pm at Douglas Methodist Church
$14 adult, $9 children 4 to 11, & free for children under 3. Sandwiches and chips $7. Sponsored by the Douglas Methodist Church.
Annual Sandcastle Challenge

Douglas 2 Mile Fun Run - Juneau to Douglas
No pre-registration. No entry fee. Register from 1:30 - 2:20 pm on July 4th. Race starts at 2:30 pm at roundabout side of bridge. Finish at Douglas Fire Hall. Commemorative Ribbons to all runners. Final Soapbox Challenge Races
