Halloween Events
Douglas celebrates Halloween with a Ghost Walk for young children at Mt. Jumbo Gym and a Halloween Skate for older children at Treadwell Arena. The Douglas 4th of July Committee supports the efforts of Halloween event organizers with grants, prizes. Poster circulation and press releases.
Halloween Skate
Friday, October 26, 2012, at 8:00-9:30 pm. 105 Savikko Drive, Treadwell Ice Arena. The Halloween Skate is a costume-themed open skate session for children and adults of all ages. The Arena staff goes all out with great decorations, costumes, lights and music. Skate rentals available at the rink. Sponsored by Juneau/City Borough, Parks and Recreation. Download the poster.
Ghost Walk
Friday, October 27, 2012, 4:30 -6:30 pm. 909 4th Street, Mt Jumbo Gym. Free. The event includes activities for young children, including carnival games, a haunted house, coloring stations, glow in the dark, bowling & candy. Sponsored by Volunteers & Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School students. Download the poster.
