Halloween Events
Douglas celebrates Halloween with a Ghost Walk for young children at Mt. Jumbo Gym and a Halloween Skate for older children at Treadwell Arena. The Douglas 4th of July Committee supports the efforts of halloween event organizers with grants, prizes, poster circulation, and press releases.
Halloween Skate
Friday, October 29, 2011, from 7:45 pm to 9:30 pm at the Treadwell Arena, 105 Savikko Road, Douglas. Admission is free. The Halloween Skate is a costume-themed open skate session for children of all ages. Skate rentals available at the rink. Sponsored by CBJ Parks and Recreation.
Ghost Walk
Saturday, October 28, 2011, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Mt. Jumbo Gym, 909 4th Street, Douglas. Admission is free. The event includes activities for young children, including carnival games, a haunted house, coloring stations, glow-in-the-dark bowling and, of course, candy. Sponsored by Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School teacher Bobby Jones and the seventh- and eighth-graders in DZ's Spruce House.
